Legal Question in Health Care Law in Iowa
Since my fathers sudden passing in January the family has been trying to take care of affairs and things to be sure mom is taken care of and one of which is dads pension. the paperwork requires SS card and we do not know where dad has these stashed. in order to get a replacement card you need a form of ID. Mom had a sever stroke 8 years ago and it was a huge feat just to get her to the funeral in January. she had a brain anurism burst and she does OK except not real well on her feet. Her non driver ID has since expired (the only form of which we can find) and the DMV said she has to come in to get it renewed. I am their daughter and POA for mom --is that really the case or can you provide any info on getting her a replacement SS card or can we take her non driver ID into the DMV and renew it without her and use same picture. Any suggestions and assistance is much appreciated.
I was not sure which LAW category this fell under.

I think you need to hire a competent estate attorney to take care of this mess.
