Legal Question in Health Care Law in Iowa
i told my employer i was pregnant 2 1/2 months ago. I got sick dec 17 with broncitcs and nemona and i had a doctors note for that thursday,friday and sunday i called my boss and told that i had a note from my doctor and told him what was going on with me and why i am sick. So monday morning came along and wasnt still felling good i called my doctor and told her what was going she said not to going this week if i wasnt feeling good still she wrote me a note i called my employer told them what was going on and that my doctors would be faxing a note over. Monday night i get a call from my boss he was asking what was going on I told him i wasnt coming in this week my medicine was working the way it was should of been becasue i can only take one kind of medicine since i was pregnant and i was really sick so it would take some time. he told me since i told him about me being prenant i have missed to much work and he would talk to his boss and let me know if i was going to have a job or not. he callled hour later and said we are going to have to let you go because you have missed to much work like we talked about.

Call the Iowa Civil Rights Commission and try filing a complaint. They can assist you with the form.
