Legal Question in Immigration Law in Iowa

My cousin was released on immigration bond. The court date is set to March. He is from China. What will happen if he dont show up to court?

Will an immigration agent arrest him in the airport if he try to leave the United States without going to court?

It is possible that he can be arrested and be detained indefinitely by ICE. Your cousin should consult with an immigration attorney to explore his options.

Hello:

That would not be a good idea. He will get an order of deportation in absentia and they will deport him. There are several grounds of relief that can be fought in removal proceedings. The fact he was release on bond indicates there must be something available. Please contact my office for more help.
