Legal Question in Immigration Law in Iowa
Perm Green Card and Divorce and Applying for Citizenship
Hi,
I have a question. I got my Perm Green card through Marriage, it was entered in good faith and we have a child. I know when I get divorced it wont affect my status, but how will it be looked upon when i apply for my citizenship?
It would have been 6 months of having my Perm card, when I file for Divorce.
Thanks for any help!

You must now wait a period of five years subsequent to acquiring LPR status.
