Re: fall on ice
Most landlords carry property insurance on property they own. Each policy should have medical pay coverage that covers medical bills up to a certain limit, sometimes $1,000 and other's have $5,000, that pays medical bills without regard to liability. Write to the landlord asking for the name of it's property liability insurance carrier for the purpose of filing medical bills. If the landlord refuses then step up your request advising this is the last request before you sue the landlord in small claims court. Take photographs of the area where you fell and discuss the landlord's failure to maintain the premises, if that is in fact the case.
