Legal Question in Insurance Law in Iowa
held mail
Do I have any recourse if my husband's ex held insurance billing mail causing us to be dropped from a healthcare plan? The bill had my name but was sent to her address. My husband is non custodial parent and required to cover 100% of the medical expenses for his children. I am the sponsor on Tricare Reserve Select and had them added to my insurance after the marriage. It took the insurance company a couple of months to get the billing address figured out.

Re: held mail
Depends; did you file a change of address form with the post office? How do you know it was your husband's ex that with held the mail? If it was your ex-husband who didn't look at the mail then why isn't he responsible for the unpaid medical expenses?
