Legal Question in Insurance Law in Iowa

Is this insurance fraud?

Several years ago my mother purchased a life insurance policy on herself. At that time she signed a waiver of premium. When she became disabled, she was told by Prudential that it would only be worth $5,000 face value, not the $50,000 she originally purchased. Litigation ensued and Prudential lost. My mother died while it was being litigated and now Prudential will not pay, claiming that it wasn't reinstated at the $50,000 value at the time of her death. What should my father do now? He keeps getting letters from Prudential urging him to sign and accept a cash settlement for $25,000. He hasn't signed them and we are waiting to see what to do.

Thank you.

Re: Is this insurance fraud?

Your father should listen to what the lawyer

who was handling the litigation says to do.

If he is not an insurance specialist, he may

call me and I would be happy to discuss this.
