does insurance have to replace all sides of siding to just damaged

If the siding can not be matched then the insurance company must replace all sides. I researched this in the 1980's (believe it or not). The legal principle also applies to carpetting, flooring, cabinets, etc. It's not acceptable to have the result being mismatched house siding. I believe it's called the matched set principles, or something to that affect. The standard ISO policy provisions would say you're correct. Stick to your ground. You're right.
