Legal Question in Insurance Law in Iowa
Primary/Secondary Insurance Coverage
My husband's primary insurance is provided through his school district. We have a family plan through my school district that he is on. Therefore, it is his secondary insurance. Our family doctor is covered by this secondary. They file with primary and when it is denied, they submit to the secondary and it is covered. The secondary is now saying they should not have paid these bills for the last 8 years. Can they hold us accountable for what was apparently their mistake?

More than likely, no you should not be responsible.
