Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Iowa
I am a 17 year old girl who returned from a girl's residential home about a month ago. On April 12th,2010,I was caught smoking outside of school and was given a smoking ticket. I was honest when asked if I had been smoking. I'm scared that my juvenile court officer is going to send me away again. Does he have the authority to do that? If not, what do you think could happen concerning my probation?

It's impossible to say what's likely to happen.
If you do not yet have one I suggest you apply for a court appointed attorney to protect your rights. It does seem like a relatively minor infraction.
