Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Iowa
I am being told my 14 year old must sign a permission slip for a counseler and or nurse to release information to me (his mother). As well as questions to an insurance company about claims and how they are handeled I can not get answers to because after the age of 14 they are in control. At what age do they children get to start making these decsions legally or am I being told something that isn't true.

I'm not sure I know what the authority they're citing for this is. You'll have to help me out a little here.
