Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa
I accepted a new administrative position about 1 month ago and yesterday was "fired" or let go and was told that the company was moving in a "different direction". The person whom I replaced was already gone when I started the job but returned on a few occasions to train me for literally 1-2 hours each week. The training was haphazard and insufficient and apparently intentional as the previous person is back on the job today. I quit a similar position with a different company to accept the job that I got let go from. Do I have the right to sue for lost wages?

Iowa is a right to work state and you can be terminated for any reason good reason or no reason at all, unless you have a contract of employment or are covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
