Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa

When I did not answer my work cellphone, a representative from my employer called my wifes office and requested her work cell number and recieved it, leaving her a message and wondering where I was at. Is this ok or a form of harrassment?

This was the day after my 3 day off due to doctors note (stress) and they had called me each day I was off.
