Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa

My car was parked in my employer's parking lot. While parked in that lot (which is where I am supposed to park according to my employer), my car was covered in a fine mist of paint overspray. I think it came from a neighboring company and not the one I work for, but I don't think I can prove where the paint came from. What responsibility does my company have to protect the automobiles of its employees?
