Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa

The city is shutting down the water mains that for half a day and we will not have water or toilets. Oue mployer has told us to bring our own water and we can use gas stations or grocery store around the area for our toliet needs. Is this legal?

Iowa is a right to work state which means you can be terminated for any reason. good reason or no reason at all unless you have a contract of employment or are covered by a collective bargaining agreement. With that as your guide assess your situation carefully.
