Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa
the company I work for moved my posiotn to the headquarters, they offered me different position, i DECLINED, the then offered me 1 month severence if I stayed long enough for training. I accepted that offer. then a week or so later they had company meeting which I did not attend, at this meeting they discussed all the future changes the compnay was making. the following week the CEO sent out an email stating basicly if anyone was not on board with the path the company was going, they would offer them, if they worked for the company for a year, 3 months severance pay. I felt I was entitled to that offer, as i was not happy with the future of company and the decison to move my position. I feel i should have been offered the same 3 months not a month. do i have a leg to stand on if i choose to pursure that?

Iowa is a right to work state and that means you can be terminated for any reason, good reason or no reason at all. The key word is you accepted what they offered you.
