Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa

I am a customer service manager at a bank. I have always rated exceptional until my new boss was hired. She has rated me as unsatisfactory. I have proof that I have completed my job as expected of me. She told me I had to take a demotion or I would eventually lose my job. I feel as if my career has been sabatoged by this woman. I look very bad to my employer. Please let me know if I have a lawsuit on my hands and where I should go from here.

If you have a contract of employment you have something to work with, but otherwise this is Iowa-a right to work state wherein you can be fired for any reason, good reason, or no reason at all.
