Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa

If a dance studio charges students for lessons monthly without deducting any holiday days off, is it legal for the studio to also not pay the teachers for those days off?

The two things are not connected. Iowa is a right to work state and the employer can set most conditions of service and pay. It's n0o different than the employer not paying you for not working Sunday.
