Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa

I work as a construction on site secretary, the company is based in Iowa, but we are working in Utah. My boss kicked me in the shin with his steel toed boot. I am the only women there. Still have a scar, he says on a daily basis that he will kick me again. Along with verbal abuse, I use to love to go to work, I can't stand it anymore. What do I do. Can I have a tape recorder at work, since anything said- co-workers that witness this abuse, say that they don't hear or see anything.

Immediately file police reoort re:assault +photograph the scar.

Then contact an emplyment law atty inb cituy where you are working.
