Elimination during FMLA
My salaried, management position was eliminated effective today with a 16 week severance package due to corporate reorganization. I still have 8 days left on a medical related FMLA & am receiving short term disability benefits do I have legal recourse relating to violation of my rights under terms of my FMLA? I have 45 days to review and sign my severance agreement. Should I contact the Iowa Labor Department or consult a private attorney.
