Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa
Im my employer has overpaid me since beginning my employment (Sept.2009) and is now expecting reimbursement of overpaid wages am I legally obligated to do so? How does this impact what I have contributed already in social security, Federal and State taxes?

The answer is yes. If they overpaid you, you have ot give it back. If you sold a car and the buyer overpaid you, he might expect that you would refund the money.
One might expect the payroll department could reduce your deposits, or when you file your taxes you can address the issue at that time.
