Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa

Hired as an hourly employee (35 hour) per week clinician at Planned Parenthood, now hours reduced to approx 20 because of inability to fill clinic hours. Do they have an obligation to pay me for the hours they hired me for? Am I obligated to remain available for those hours?

That would be a function of whatever your agreement with PP is. However, Iowa is a right to work state. what this means is unless you have a contract of employment-and few people do-you can be terminated for any reason, good reason, or no reason at all.
