non compete validity
i signed a non compete form with my employer (corp office NE) june of 2006 when i was hired to work in IA. i received no benefit of any sort i am a customer service representative at a industrial supplier branch. we lost our largest customer contract which means we will be downsizing or closing our branch...if a job was offered to me by the competitor who got this customer contract will i be breaching the non compete?

I would need to review the non-compete for validity and with regard to choice of law/venue provisions.
Such agreements MAY be enforceable, but alot depends on state in which enforcement is sought and which law applies per contract.
I have extensive experience in this area of business law.
