overtime pay

my husband is a local truck driver for a company that only pays time and a quarter for overtime shouldn't it be at least time and a half ?

Generally, truck drivers are considered to be subject to DOL regulations. This means that they are not usually covered by the requirements of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.

Your husband may still have some rights under state laws, but that is something that will have to be addressed by an attorney licensed in Iowa.
