Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa
Hello, I have been having some trouble at work with my boss. In feb this year on yearly evalution, my boss wrote that I needed to improve my paperwork (I'm behind) I needed to look into getting a ADHD evalutation, but I was a valuable employee and she would do anything to help me. I did the evalutation and it was determined that I have PTSD and ADHD. In july my boss came to me and told me that I need to get files caught up or I would be put on probation. I panicked, and could not get them done. I was put on probation, days after I put an offer in on a house. My lender needed proof that I worked there and she informed me that she was going to write on the paper that I was on probabtion. I also gave our board of directors some information about her and some thing that were going on at our clinic and she found out and she has been very rude to me and has not taken the advice of our advisor to help me catch up on paper work. I filed a grievance. She told me I would be let go if I did not have all my paperwork done in 6 month, but her and 2 other therapists are also behind. What I want to know is, how manying things has she violated?did she violated dept of labor laws when she told that info to my lender? And what about the americans with disiabilities act? I should be covered under the whistleblower laws right? Please help! Beth
