Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa
I work for a business of 100 people and we are merging with another company of roughly the same size. We currently have sick pay which builds to 60 days. After the merger they are going to wipe out all sick days and start over. Being there 10 years I am maxed at 60 days and just hope nothing happens in the coming months. Can they do this by calling it a new company? Thank you.

Iowa is a right to work state which means that you can be terminated for any reason, good reason, or no reason at all unless you have a contract of employment. That means that your employer is free to change the terms and conditions of your employment as they see fit.
