Legal Question in Employment Law in Iowa

I used to work for a retailer making product videos.

I am no longer employed there and need to know if I can legally post links to videos on their site or youtube.com that I created while employed there on my own website, facebook etc.

I need to show examples of my work in that industry and these are the only thing I have for now until I can get some products to make videos of.

I think you can post links to the videos you created that are now hosted on the company's website because the links are not their property. However republishing the videos on youtube would be a violation of copyright law and the company might object to it if they knew about it. Let your conscience be your guide.
