Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Iowa
I had a bed bug issue in my apartment and my management got insecticide treatment done. Couple weeks later I got a $500 bill. So my question is
1) Who is responsible for that payment?
2) If I am reaponsible for this payment is it not their responsibility to tell me before hand and not just send me a bill saying that I owe them that much money?
3)Do I have a flexibility to chose which insecticide treatment company I get the treatment done with? Or May be even do the treatment myself?

1. Your landlord is responsible unless you caused the infestation to happen.
2. See number 1.
3. Yes, but unless you are a licensed applicator forget about treating it yourself.
