Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Iowa

we are buying a house on contract and before we signed the contract we had a clause put in for renewal of the contract in case we couldn't come up with the balloon payment. in short got served a notice of forefeiture of real estate contract of the balloon amount, is there anything we can do other than coming up with the balloon payment which we got denied in may.
