Double Rent
My landlord has collected double rent from me for about 6 months or more roughly 5 yrs ago. I moved in with my girlfriend who was on HUD. Hud was paying rent. I told her to get off HUD and she did. Landlord called HUD and somehow got them to continue to pay, not telling us this, we continued to pay the rent also. I cannot find any reciepts as of yet now I'm divorced and they probly got thrown away. Is there anything I can do at this time? I called HUD and told them he collected double rent and they did not care.

If it within the Statute of limits you could make claim for refund. How much is at stake?
