Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Iowa
Our lease is expiring and we are moving to a new location. I sent the landlord the final rent payment, including the 30 day notice letter of our intent to vacate, as requested in the rental agreement. I sent the letter certified a month back and now it has been returned. She does not answer my phone calls (with messages). We are moving in a week now and still no contact from her. We need to do a final walk through. What am I supposed to do if I cannot get ahold of her?

Document the condition of the apartment with photographs and send copies to the landlord or rental agent. Then, you've done all you can.
