Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Iowa
i been living with a friend that i have known for years, like a dad to me, for about a year now. he has a drinking problem and came home in the middle of the night on a drunkin rave and kicked me and my 2 kids out when i paid for rent and bills. i gave him my whole paycheck every two weeks and most of the time the bills weren't even getting paid. what can i do?

Without some sort of rental agreement between the two of you or a marriage, fundamentally you have no good choices because there's nothing to sue on.
