This reminds me of the old, old joke, "Where does an 800 pound gorilla sit? Anywhere he wants to sit." The answer to your question, similarly, is, whenever he or she wants. Keep in mind that your case is not the only case on the judge's docket--he or she probably has hundreds. Just be patient. Nagging and/or cajoling a judge, especially one deciding your case, is very ill-advised.
