Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Iowa

Moving boyfriends possessions out of house whilst he is away

Last night I found out my boyfriend, who has lived with me for 2.5 months, is cheating. Which is against our verbal agreement. Can I move his possessions off my property to avoid a confrontation. We are in our 50's. We grow old to soon and too late smart.

No- you effectively have a verbal month to month tenancy ( if he is not an owner of the property).

If the condition of tenancy is faithfulness, he has breached his lease agreement. You should have a written agreement in this circumstance. You will need to evict him through normal eviction proceedings in court.
