Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Iowa
I rent a house. I was filling up an above the ground pool and it collasped and the water ran down and eroded the retaining wall. Who is responsible for paying for the repairs? Me, the renter or the landlords, who own the property? Also there was nothing in our rental contract that said we couldn't have a pool for the summer.

If it was your pool, and you were filling it, I can see no other answer than you are responsible for any damage caused.
