renters bills
I had a renter who moved in January. She hired a lawn service thru the summer and never paid them and I had no knowledge about the hiring or that she wasn't mowing her own lawn. the first bill came under her name but now they are sending it in my name. Am I responsible? Also she had a piece put on a furnace without asking me and I work for a firm that does this kind of work ?

Need to see lease to advise. If she was on the hook to mow lawn ( and do furnace repairs) you could deduct from deposit.
After lease termination, depends on whether services benefit property.
You certainly could terminate the contract (since there is no privity) and past services would be collectible vs. tenant.
