Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Iowa
I have a roommate that has lived with me for over 3 years. I am the owner of the home, he is refusing to move out until Dec. 31st. He will not sit down and talk with me. Our agreement was a verbal agreement, no contract ever made or signed. How do I go about having him removed from my home? I am an Iowa resident.

Your roommate is a tenant at will. What you need to do is properly serve him or her with an eviction notice. It's going to cost you some money to do it right. Here's some general information on the subject. http://www.robertpetersonlaw.com/Real Estate Issues/Landlord and Tenant Law in Iowa.aspx
