Selling a Rental Property

As a landlord in the State of Iowa, can I break a lease if I am selling my rental property and the prospective buyer does not wish to continue renting?

Re: Selling a Rental Property

1) I wouldn't necessarily do something against a tenant on behalf of a prospective buyer. Let the buyer do it himself.

2) This requires a local opinion, and you'd be much better off asking a lawyer in your area. 30 minutes could save you a lot of headache.

3) why not (after consulting counsel) find out if there's something you can do to help the tenant leave, rather than just kicking them out.
