Legal Question in Personal Injury in Iowa

My 18 year old senior was grabbed by another student pushed into the wall as the male student called her names and went through her back pack against her will

Question is this a violation of any laws in Iowa such as assault or bulling

It could be an assault. I suggest that you report it to the police as soon as you can.
