Legal Question in Personal Injury in Iowa

bee in dove chocolate

So, I opened a dove chocolate at work recently ... and embedded inside was a whole BEE.

I was not injured, as i didn't eat the candy. But, I can't help but wonder if I had, would my throat have closed up, killing me?

Can companies be held accountable for their products haveing the potential to kill someone? Thanks

Re: bee in dove chocolate

Although the thought of suing for a bee in a dove creates a certain buzzzz... in the end it's those who coooooo who win this one. One element of any tort action are damages. No damages? No case. Sort of like basketball, no harm, no foul. Report it to the company and they will send you coupons to promote good will and to take the sting out of your situation. Of course look before biting and swallowing!
