Legal Question in Personal Injury in Iowa

Our car was vandalized (broken window) while it was parked overnight at a motel in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Does the motel owe any responsibility towards the window replacement cost?

If they have insurance and if the rental agreement specifically so states, then yes, but they probably disclaimed liability for such losses in the fine print.
