Legal Question in Personal Injury in Iowa
My daughter was holding my cousins Toy Puddle, Precious, in my cousins home. Precious began getting frisky and excited so my daughter tried to set her down. Before she could get Precious to the floor, Precious jumped, landed hard and rolled. Very shortly after Precious begin to cry. After a visit to the vet, it was determined that the puppy had a broken leg, two bones to be exact. Upon realization of this and consider my feelings of guilt by my daughter being the one holding the puppy, I offered to help with what i could to cover the vet bill. We were given two options; a splint on the bones, which costs $300, or a plate placement, which runs $1500+. My Cousin and I both agreed we would choose the splint option by it being the cheapest, and upon decision we informed that there would be a 4 week follow up visit requirement. I paid the full amount for the splint option and my question comes as this, am i obligated to also pay for the follow up visits and any extra treatment need for Precious to fully recover? If this case were taken to small claims court how might the judge rule?

You're probably obligated to pay for the followup visit. Where's the small claims issue?
