Legal Question in Personal Injury in Iowa

I fell on ice at a business causing loss of consiousness, concussion, memory loss and sprained neck. Should I contact the owners of the property where it happened and give them a chance to pay the medical bills or should I contact a lawyer first?

I'd start by retaining an attorney-the owner is a lot less likely to give you the runaround.
