Legal Question in Personal Injury in Iowa

My son has a severe developmental delay and is considered handicapped, has had problems from birth. I am concerned that his disability may have been caused during or shortly after delivery. Maybe birth hypoxia. Wonder if legal action is advised. Also was just recently advised that he may qualify for SSI, he is almost 5. Can this be retroactive?

Probably not retroactive to his date of birth. The first question that comes to my mind is whether or not the delivery was a difficult one or had any complications. Your situation may be one that needs to be looked at from the standpoint of any delivery issues. Have you seen an attorney? Would you like to speak with me?
