Legal Question in Personal Injury in Iowa
I am from a small town in Iowa which has a dog leash law. They also have an ordinance that covers animal waste issues. The city has elected for an unknown reason to not enforce the law....without repeal of the law can this legally be done or is there an alternative to the city? It is embarrassing just how much stuff accumulated in my yard...so much so that I could not walk two steps in my yard without stepping in something. What can I do?

If they're not enforcing the leash law, you don't really have any way of getting them to do so other than by getting yourself on the agenda at the next city council meeting and speaking your mind. Perhaps nobody's ever raised the issue before.
