Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa

5 kids in a two bedroom

Is it legal to have two adults and 5 kids in a two bedroom apartment in the state of Iowa? If not, what is the limit or laws on that? I'm a landlord and wouldn't mind renting to the guy, but don't want to break the law. Is there an ideal lease for such a situation?

There may be local ordinances concerning this, but there is no state law of which I am aware. Try contacting your city or county zoning or ordinance enforcement department
