Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa

I have been buying a commercial property on contract and the contract is expired and I was to obtain other financing as of a few months ago. Well I'm still unable to get financing and do not wish to continue trying to buy the property. What needs to be done and what are my responsibilites?

Without seeing the contract in question I wouldn't care to speculate on any potential effects of a breach of contract which is what you're talking about doing.
