Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa
I have a Grandmother who is in a Nursing Home in Iowa. She has been there for several years now but is running out of money. She currently owns a farm house and about 150 acres of land which are rented, these being her only income she is running out of money. I was wondering what is going to happen when she runs out of cash? Can they take the House? Land?. Also is she runs out of cash and goes on title 19 or some sort of state aid, will she be moved to a different nursing home? will her meds be changed?
Thank you for your time.

That's really a question for the Medicaid people to answer, which is, I think, where you're going with this. Whether she will be moved depends on whether the nursing home accepts Medicaid or title 19 payments.
