Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa
An insured driver run into my house and damages siding. There is no match. Does the line of sight law apply? The insurance claims it doesn't since its in auto claim, but they damaged my house.

This isn't my area of practice, however after spending a few minutes looking through the rules, I'd agree with you that 'line of sight' applies. However, as you know, the exact terms of the policies are controlling. I'd say you need to bring your homeowner's insurance into this also. And of course, at the end of the day if there's a lot of money on the table and the siding needs to be replaced around the whole house, only a lawyer is going to be able to get this done for you.
