Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa

I have a lease agreement on a townhome until may 2011. My landlord decided to put the townhome up for sale. And stated once the home sells he would give me up to two months to find a new place to move. Since he put the house on the market Am I still bound to the lease agreement ?

You are BOTH still bound by the lease agreement. Even if he sells the place, the buyers would take title subject to your rights under the lease--in other words, you can stay in the property until May. You could certainly negotiate some sort of early termination, which might be advantageous for both of you.
